I think that the concept of stretch goals is extremely valuable for entrepreneurs. Whether you are creating a product or selling a service, having the ability to make changes to your project or service during its development can be a huge advantage.

• As a reward for donating $10,000 to a Kickstarter project, you will receive the free book and a personal phone call with an interview.

• As a reward for donating $25,000 to a Kickstarter project, you will receive a free book, a personal phone call, and a private meeting with me.

• If you cannot donate, you can also “back” a project by pledging any amount for the reward that best meets your needs.

What should you aim for?

In our business plan, we use two types of stretch goals:

– Sales-Based Stretch Goals: We have several ways to track these based on sales. You can set a goal for a percentage or a dollar increase in sales.

– Performance-Based Stretch Goals: You can’t predict how it will happen, but you still want to do them because they improve your product/service. Examples include adding a new feature to the website, improving your product, and expanding your reach.

This depends on the nature of the goal. If the goal is something you could easily add to your product/service, it is considered a cost.

Stretch goals are pre-set numbers that a designer or brand owner sets to help fund the production of an exclusive product. Once the goal has been reached, the product can no longer be made.
